An iconic international sporting brand is on the hunt for an experienced Business Development/Account Manager to head up their newly created Melbourne sales division. The client already has a huge customer base in NZ, QLD and NSW and strong affiliations with some of the biggest sporting clubs and associations both in Australia and internationally.

Your role will be an autonomous role (with the support and backing of their QLD and NZ based offices) in which you will be the key person heading up the penetration of the Melbourne market. You will have full accountability and control over your sales strategy and access to an expansive market with the backing of a huge household name.

This role will be a part of their prestigious Team Wear sector and will involve selling into sporting clubs, schools, universities and corporates of all sizes. Big role, big brand - lots of scope.

You should:
  • Live and breathe sport and ideally have a passion for Rugby or AFL
  • Have a strong background in a sales and the ability to target new business
  • Be able to work autonomously and manage your own pipeline
  • Have a great sense of humour and strong understanding of the Melbourne team wear market (advantageous)
  • Be a self starter who possesses high self drive and the desire to grow and excel
  • Ideally have experience selling into sports clubs and schools
