Graduate Financial Markets Quant Analyst

    We are a large growth blue chip private investment house in the Melbourne CBD that is seeking a creative, ambitious and highly motivated candidate with excellent mathematical or statistical skills to join our 24 hour international financial markets trading team. A background in Complex Systems or Signal Processing Engineering would be highly regarded.

    The ideal candidate will need to exhibit following qualities:

    • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
    • Fluent in Excel
    • Good programming skills (VBA or Java)
    • Reasonable knowledge and a passion for finance
    • Strong communication skills
    • An ability to be decisive and agile, and react rapidly in a high pressure environment
    • Strong dedication and commitment
    • Fast learner and willing to learn
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to work in a small team
    • Strong drive for success
    • Willingness to work occasional afterhours shifts

    Major responsibilities will include:

    • Implement and monitor our investment strategies in international market
    • Prepare strategy performance reports and carry out relevant analysis
