Applications Engineer - Body Exterior in Automotive Jobs

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Management of Body Exterior Systems for multiple Asia pacific programs across multiple Product Development sites in the region (including BIW, Exterior Ornamentation, Functional Trim, Mechanisms and Glazing).
Manage Suppliers and/or in-house CAD Team to develop, design and release Body Exterior Systems for new, freshening, top-hat & current model programs.
Lead interface between engineering, studio, supplier, manufacturing, craftsmanship & Forward Model Quality to ensure quality delivery.
Ensure compatibility with all other interfacing systems.
Support selection of suppliers, development of program work plans, and completion of gateway deliverables to maintain program timing.
Develop designs to meet or exceed system & vehicle attribute targets.
Lead cost-efficiency activity for your systems within Asia Pacific.
Deliver system Quality targets across multiple programs and support other programs across the region.

Key Selection Criteria:
Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred)
Recognised as a Technical 'Go To' for his/her systems.
Able to demonstrate a continuous improvement philosophy through process suggestions & best practise design solutions.
Able to offer recommendations for Global Design Rules and has a focus on prevent recurrence.
Demonstrate proficiency with QS9000 tools such as FMEA
Able to handle the most complex of Body Exterior Systems across multiple programs with very little supervision or guidance.
